Artisans

Awards Criteria

The Risk Control Committee has developed a “Risk Control Awards” program to recognize those members who have demonstrated excellence and improvement in risk control.

The data utilized includes:

  • Current Risk Control Assessment Score
  • Bureau of Labor Statistics/OSHA - Frequency and Severity Rates
  • Loss Ratios
  • Risk Control Workshop Attendance
  • Completion of the Loss Prevention Satisfaction Survey Report

Program Format

The annual award winners will be announced and certificates presented to members during the President's dinner at each summer board meeting. Awards presented are "#1 Safety & Risk Control Award", "Most Improved Safety & Risk Control Award", and "Safety & Risk Control Top Ten Awards".

In addition, plaques will be presented to the members' representatives at the fall Artisans Risk Control Workshop. This allows the best recognition for the risk control/safety coordinators of the winning members, in front of their peers.

The data used to determine the awards is from the previous calendar/policy year. The awards will use the most current risk assessment score, the prior calendar year OSHA statistics, attendance at the two most recent risk control workshops and loss ratio from the most recent full policy period. Each company must be a member of the captive for the entire previous policy year to be eligible.
